BEIJING, Nov. 4 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Monday offered condolences over the casualties and heavy losses caused by a hurricane that swept through Jamaica.
In a message to Jamaican Foreign Minister Kamina Johnson Smith, Wang mourned the victims and expressed sincere condolences to the affected people.
The Chinese side stands ready to provide disaster relief assistance within its capacity based on Jamaica's demands, he said, voicing confidence that the Jamaican people will surely overcome the disaster and rebuild their homeland.
